Welcome to Queenstown Crown
FACILITIES

Top House
The top house arguably has the best views but there are a few steps to the front door. Facilities include fully equipped kitchen, several bathrooms, a large dining and lounge area and laundry facilities.

White House
The white house is the fanciest and most spacious of the three houses – it houses the deluxe double rooms and an ensuited double room. The ensuited room has its own bathroom and the two deluxe doubles share a bathroom and 2 toilets. All three rooms share the lounge, kitchen and dining room. The views of Lake Wakatipu and Walter Peak from the common area are spectacular!

Bottom House
The bottom house is easy to access and houses the larger dorm rooms and a double room. It has a large bathroom with showers and toilets, a lounge and fully equipped kitchen.

The Casino at Queenstown Crown
Open after the lake has gone dark
The casino is one room off the lobby of the bottom house, with a bar along the far wall and a low stage in the corner. The floor carries slot machines from single-line cabinets through to linked jackpots, and table games including blackjack, roulette and poker. It is a small floor by design — a handful of tables, close enough that the dealers learn your name by the second night.
Doors open at 18:00 every day and the bar pours until closing. Dress code is smart casual. Entry is free for hotel guests and visitors alike, and the dealers are glad to talk a newcomer through a hand before any money is on the table. A local duo plays the corner stage on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Entry is restricted to persons aged 20 and over, and photo ID is checked at the door in accordance with the Gambling Act 2003. All gaming takes place on-site only — no online gaming is offered. Host responsibility is part of how the floor runs: our staff are trained to recognise problem gambling, breaks away from the tables are encouraged, self-exclusion is available on request, and there are no ATMs on the gaming floor.
If gambling is causing problems for you or someone you know, call the Gambling Helpline free and confidentially on 0800 654 655, available 24/7, or visit choicenotchance.org.nz.
